RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set-up, operates, and troubleshoots all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems.
  • Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or service the equipment in periodically.
  • Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals and secure equipment when not in use.
  • Good knowledge in electronics and electrical should be able to understand all electronic component symbols, circuits, pin configurations, and testing of equipment.
  • He must know how to use the Measuring Meters / Instruments Related with Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
  • Sound system (PA) with effects, equalizer, compressor, line transformers and should know about bridge mono, parallel mono, stereo wiring applications full range, bi-amp, tri-amp, and wiring procedure. He should know using the suitable amplifier to the right impedance speakers. He should know how to calculate load of impedance when installing many speakers.
  • He must know how to apply right gains to the Mic in order to avoid disturbance and feed back.
  • Keeping screen and projectors in right distances to have a clear eye view for the audience and speakers.
  • Installation of all types of screens: motorized, floor type, folding, rear, front, etc.
  • Familiarity with BMS and monitoring A/C in functions and banquet halls while setting up the right temperatures.
  • Respond quickly to guest complaints courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Never refuse guest request even though it is not related to your field. Convey message without delay to the concerned people.
  • Estimate your job and analyze the function sheet. If you find any difficulties, without delay inform your supervisor to solve the problem prior to the function.
  • Assist in decoration and props setup.
  • Follow all job instructions given by Superior.
  • Report any serious maintenance problem or safety related issues to Superior immediately.
  • Follow duty schedule/Split duty and carry out any other assignment given by Superior as business demand.
  • To thoroughly investigate each job as assigned to ensure that only the necessary spare parts are used and to avoid unnecessary wastage of AV supplies.
  • Follow up Company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment. Attend all departmental training and other training program.
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to the Superior
  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective equipment and use correct lifting procedures as necessary to avoid injury. Follow hazardous Material management program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals etc. using material safety data sheets. Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to Shift in charge. Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines. Complete appropriate Fire and safety trainings and certifications to perform work tasks.
  • Emergencies – To be available for any emergencies and act in a professional manner to protect our Guests, Staffs and preserve the Hotel Property and its system. Follow Hotel Crises plan.
  • To learn and carry out fire brigade duties when assigned.
  • Address guest’s service needs in a professional, positive and timely manner. Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using guest’s name if possible.
  • To complete the personal daily job record book accurately and keep ready for inspection.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relations with other employees and departments. Any job related complaints or grievances to be handled promptly with your Superior.
  • Follow duty schedule/Split duty and carry out any other assignment given by Superior as business demand.
  • To Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: electrical, AC, plumbing and carpentry and finish skills, energy conservation, and/or general building.
  • To test troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Follow clean as you go policy. Keep all his working areas neat and tidy. Store all his tools and materials in a safe and secure place. While working in the Guest and public areas, special attention is required to protect surrounding areas for any damage and inconvenience to the guests. During the site work do not leave any materials and tools unattended.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Keep an up to date inventory of all A/V equipment.
  • Maintain good working relations with banqueting staff and other colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 yrs. experience in a hotel
  • Trade Tests Certifications (preferable)
  • Age: Maximum of 32 yrs. old
